iPhone hacks developed by Italian company RCS Lab have been used by law enforcement agencies in Europe, according to a new Google report. The hacking tool used a variety of exploits to allow the firm’s customers to spy on private messages, contacts, and passwords. There may be SPOILERS.] - For a crime procedural, even one with a supernatural twist, nothing raises the stakes quite like the main character being told that they’re not allowed to solve crimes any more. In iZombie, each episode has the same basic scaffolding: a murder, a collection of suspects, a crime scene, and a series of interrogations - all broken up by frequent sojourns into long-term story arcs like Max Rager’s nefarious dealings or Blaine’s efforts to become the zombie kingpin of Seattle....

Original Halloween director and composer, John Carpenter, made fans very happy when he returned to score David Gordon Green’s 2018 sequel, and now, the Master of Horror has expressed interest in scoring another sequel. Halloween (2018) was one of the year’s most highly anticipated films. The film went on to explode box office records and is set to be released on Blu-ray early next January. The release will also include several deleted scenes that were cut from the film, including moments from the trailers fans noticed missing....

Warner Bros. gives Joker an official title and late 2019 release date. While WB is still flirting with the idea of a cinematic universe, the big move they’ve made is starting another branch at DC that focus on smaller, darker, and riskier projects. Hasbro has unveiled a new range of Star Wars collectibles: the miniature ‘Micro Force’ figurines line, the first wave of which will reach shop shelves in December. In October, HBO premiered the short film Tokyo Project from writer and director Richard Shepard, who was a frequent director on the premium channel’s recently concluded Girls. For those who have watched it, either when it aired, or streamed it on any of HBO’s various streaming options, you may have been surprised to see recent Emmy winner for The Handmaid’s Tale Elisabeth Moss starring opposite former Girls and future The Punisher co-star Ebon Moss-Bachrach as a pair of Americans in Japan repeatedly running into one another in a series of perhaps not-so-coincidental encounters....

Hereditary director Ari Aster revealed that he cut an hour of footage spanning 30 scenes from the theatrical release of the movie. It’s a bit of a surprising admission from the writer/director, considering the cut of Hereditary that hit theaters already runs 2 hours and 7 minutes. The extensive cut-downs certainly didn’t hurt the movie with critics, who hailed Aster’s feature-length directorial debut to the tune of a 92 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes....
